Jewellery storage can take many different forms, the main one being a jewellery box. Jewellery boxes have existed for hundreds of years for women to keep their precious jewels in and they would all originally had a lock.
Jewellery Box These can come in various sizes and can be made out of many different materials. They can be metal caskets, wooden boxes or made of synthetic materials. They can be square, oblong, round, oval or other shape. Many have a tray inside which lifts out to hold smaller items and rings and larger items can be placed in the bottom of the box. There is often a ring holder and a strip in which to placed earrings. Some include a carrying handle and a mirror.
Trinket Box These tend to be smaller and are useful for putting small items of jewellery in, such as rings and earrings.
Jewellery Purse also sometimes known as a jewellery roll or jewellery wrap. These are useful for carrying jewellery when travelling. They consist of several pockets of varying sizes and a strip for putting rings on. They fold up and take up little room in one's travelling bags.
